What You’re Not Being Told: A Mom, a Blogger, and a Scream in the Dark
“Those who do not move, do not notice their chains.”
~ Rosa Luxemburg
I’m tired.
I’m angry.
And I’m not alone.
I’ve been quiet for a long time – actually, a few decades – because I’ve felt pretty safe, to say the least.
All the unfortunate wars were happening outside my bubble (with fleeting thoughts of “what if…?”, but they got buried quick).
Then I got busy living life. I had a kid, and life started. I tried to stay afloat. I tried to get through school. I survived a stroke.
I moved to and from the USA (man, am I glad I moved back to Norway!). I got a diagnosis I still struggle to explain to people who’ve never had their brain go off like a fire alarm for no reason. I had another kid. Went back to school. Still struggling to get through it all…
And then… BOOM… my worst fears started coming to life.
So now I need a place to let it all out: the steam, the fear, the frustration.
And I’m using my blog to do exactly that.
This is not a place for “civil debate” or “respectful dialogue” when people are being slaughtered, silenced, tortured, and erased from media coverage in a country that has worked hard at basing itself as the leading Democrasy of the World. This is not the time to be polite. This is the time to be loud. This space is for truth, not perfection. And sometimes, that’s all we’ve got.
What is this blog?
This blog is a collection of what I see and what I feel. It’s my digital diary, my testimony, and my wall of protest.
Here, I publish videos and posts that are being deleted from social media. Videos from Gaza. From the U.S. From neighboring countries. From places the news refuses to show you, that the everyday people film, that the Social Media platforms try to hide!
I’m tired of Norwegian media pretending to cover the world. When they mention Gaza, it’s as if they’re reading a script written in Tel Aviv or Washington. When the U.S. does something horrific, it’s buried under “security concerns” or “foreign policy strategy.”
What about the people? The children? The mothers? What about us?
Why am I angry?
Because injustice has become normal. Because we’ve accepted colonialism as “history.” Because the descendants of colonial power still control who gets to speak, and who dies in silence.
It’s all connected.
Capitalism, racism, censorship, suppression, control. It didn’t start with Gaza. It didn’t start with Trump. It didn’t start yesterday.
It started with plundering. With kidnapping. With slavery. With drawing borders on land that never belonged to them. With churches blessing torture and banks getting rich off stolen lives.
And it continues today. With tech giants deciding what you get to see. With news channels showing the same safe stories again, and again, and again.
What will you find here?
You’ll find videos I’ve downloaded from Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, and other platforms. Videos that the algorithm hides. That get reported as “violations.” That are shadowbanned or deleted before you can even save them.
Here, they live.
Here, they are seen.
Here, they speak.
I’m organizing them into categories:
-
Gaza / Palestine
-
U.S.: Police violence, racism, protests
-
Europe: Migration policies, political hypocrisy
-
Censorship: Examples of silencing and media control
-
Resistance: People refusing to shut up
What do I want?
I want to stop being silent. I can’t be silent.
I’m a mother. A woman with brown skin and curly hair. I’ve lived in both Europe and the U.S. I know the difference between what they say and what actually happens.
I want to use this platform to:
-
Document
-
Scream
-
Show solidarity
-
Build an archive
-
Be a witness for those without one.
I know this page might get taken down. That’s why I am working on a backup. I am working on a self-hosted WordPress. I have offline copies. I’ll have an email list. And I’m sharing on the Fediverse (Pixelfed, Mastodon) where no billionaire can press the delete button.
Norway, where are you?
This might be the part that hurts the most. My own country, this so-called “peace nation,” stays quiet. We sit with our safe jobs, child care, electricity bills and can’t be bothered.
But Norway sells weapons. Norway is part of NATO. Norway lets Israeli ships into our ports and helps fund both war and “aid.”
What do we do then?
We blog. We scream. We refuse to pretend. Because one day, the bill will come. And history will remember who spoke and who stayed silent.
What’s next?
🛡️ I’m building:
-
A video archive with secure backup
-
A mirrored WordPress site in case of takedown
-
A PDF guide on how to save and store your own content
-
A newsletter
-
A Telegram channel for uncensored updates, I will use it as a megaphone, not like a diary 🔊🗣️
📬 I’m writing:
-
Weekly posts with summaries
-
Personal reflections from a mother and a human
📢 I’m sharing:
-
Quotes, stickers, memes
-
Fact sheets on colonialism and power
-
Videos from the ground taken from the internet
Who am I?
Just one of many. A mom. A student. A woman who’s seen much. I have ADHD, I’ve had a stroke, I’ve lived through more than most know. I understand what it’s like to feel powerless. But this? This is something we can act on.
We can be a voice.
We can lift up other voices.
We can be the ally someone else needs.
If you’re reading this:
You matter. You’re not crazy for feeling what you feel. You’re not alone for seeing what others pretend not to. You can speak up. Share. Write. Archive. Film. Scream.
“In a time of deceit, telling the truth is a revolutionary act.”
~ George Orwell

This is not a blog. This is an echo from the silenced. An archive of everything the news ignores. A scream from a mom who refuses to shut up.
This starts here. With you. With me. With anyone who refuses to look away.
