Christmas Break: The ‘Break’ Thatโs Anything But ๐๐
Finally, I see a break coming. Friday starts Christmas ๐๐ break from school, and boy, do I need it! This semester has been a juggling act with four subjects (thanks to my accidental double elective choice), work, family, and, oh yeah, life. Needless to say, a break sounds like heaven.
My boyfriend, however, is already living it up, having whisked himself away to the Canary Islands with his mom. I had to stay behind โ school and budget don’t mix well with tropical vacations. So, my version of a break? Getting the house holiday-ready (a.k.a., work), wrapping gifts (more work), and tackling daily house tasks (yup, still work). Basically, it feels like I traded one type of busy for another.
But come December 25, the chaos will pause. Iโm claiming Christmas Day as my sacred “do absolutely nothing” day. My gift to myself is guilt-free restโwrapped up with no bows, no strings, just peace. Until then, I’ll keep telling myself this busyness is festive. Right? ๐
